Craig Edwards appointed as new Ambers Boss

02 Jan 2018

Cheshunt Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Edwards as first team manager.

Craig Edwards has today been appointed first team manager following the resignation of Steve Newing on Boxing Day.

A UEFA A-License holder, Craig is a highly experienced and successful manager. He led Billericay Town for seven seasons, wining the Isthmian Premier League and Essex Senior Cup, breaking a 35 year barren spell for the club. Craig saved Kingstonian FC from relegation at the end of last season, taking his team back to Billericay to win 1-0 at the start of this campaign.

Craig has also won league titles, promotion and silverware with Redbridge, Grays Athletic, Barking and Barkingside, as well having spells with Chelmsford City, Dulwich Hamlet and Ware.

Craig’s first job is to stop the Ambers’ poor run and get back to wining ways. His first game in charge is a difficult tie at home this Saturday against an in form Maldon & Tiptree.

We welcome Craig to Theobalds Lane and look forward to a successful tenure with him at the club.
