Isthmian Performance of the Month -April,  Play Off Final Salver

Representatives from the club enjoyed an entertaining evening at the Isthmian League Annual Presentations in Brighton on Saturday.  Owner Lee Williamson & Manager Craig Edwards knew they would be called upon to receive the Play Off Final winners Cup & Salver. We keep the Salver & the Cup is returned with ’21/22 Cheshunt FC’ added to the engraving to be won next year.  In addition a cut glass trophy recognising Cheshunt FC’s performance of the month (beating St Albans away in the FA trophy) would be collected. What the Cheshunt table didn’t know was the board of the Isthmian League selected Cheshunt FC to receive the Barry East Award. ( Barry East B.Sc held the Isthmian League positions of Vice Chairman 1970s, Chairman 1980s and President 1990s.).

The Award recognises the most outstanding achievement of an Isthmian League Club during the season.  The magnificent season experienced by Cheshunt FC saw a Hat Trick of  firsts achieved in the 75th anniversary of the club.   The Herts FA Senior Cup was won for the first time, The club reached the 5th round of the FA Trophy for the first time, and of course achieved promotion to their highest ever standing in the football pyramid,  in their first fully completed season of the Isthmian Premier League.

A big Thank You to the Isthmian League for a successful and entertaining evening. All of the trophies received on the night, along with the successes achieved by the Cheshunt FC Youth teams will be on display in the boardroom cabinet in the Sports Bar and be available to view during the season.
