There has been a little unrest over my releasing of Amadou Kassarate….
There is no doubting Amadou played a big part in last years successes. However, historically he has walked out on us twice before in search of alternatives, only to return when he had no other options. This time I made it very clear that this couldn’t happen again.
I had planned talks with Amadou and several others from last years squad for this coming Thursday upon my return from holiday
I received a text from Amadou saying he was exploring his options and training with another club this week. That was not an acceptable option for me and so I released him.
On exactly the same terms, I released Nicholas Dib because he was training with Dulwich Hamlet FC.
We are in no doubt that we are in for the toughest season of the club’s history and we do not want any players here that are looking elsewhere if the going gets tough.
I make no apology that myself, Ugo and Curtis only want players at Cheshunt F.C. that are 100% committed to the club.

Craig Edwards.
The club would like to thank Amadou Kassarate and Nicholas Dib for playing a big part in our promotion success
