The Ambers are pleased to announce the signing of two new players to enhance the squad Manager Craig Edwards spoke about at the Fans Forum last week.
Lewis Hobbs is a young defender Craig Edwards has tracked throughout his career, as he played at various clubs on loan at steps 3 & 4 while a Barnet Academy player, including being signed at Cheshunt in 2019 making one appearance (a 1-0 win away at Chipstead) before signing for Crystal Palace u21, and then the Eagles first team. Lewis has packed a lot of experience into his career to date including operating in the Vanarama National League South with Welling Utd last season, we look forward to seeing him in action at the heart of an Ambers defence.
Emmanuel “Manny’ Maja is a midfielder we know well, as he has represented Enfield Town against the Ambers in previous seasons. Manny is a product of the KINETIC Foundation and has learnt much of his football know how with them, and also the Manchester City Academy. After impressing a number of managers during his time at Enfield Town and tipped to play higher, Manny moved up a level to Tonbridge Angels in the National League South. This season there have been multiple teams chasing his signature, and we are pleased to have been able to register Manny to Cheshunt FC.
Currently Manny has a slight injury concern and we look forward to Head Physio Imran helping him back to full fitness & gracing the pitch at Theobalds Lane with his skills in a Cheshunt shirt.
Both players are currently available to sponsor,
Welcome to the Ambers Lewis & Manny !
