After a number of postponements , The Ambers hope to get back to work on Saturday January 28th when Slough Town visit Theobalds Lane.
Earlier in the season Slough Town won 3-1, one of the matches in the Ambers run of defeats early in the season. Cheshunt are a different proposition these days & will be looking for the three points needed to lift themselves out of the bottom four.
Form is difficult to ascertain with so many matches postponed of late, but referring to the form tables over the last 6 matches Cheshunt sit 5th & Slough Town 9th. Slough Town have taken 9 points from their last six games and appear to have a good goalscoring record averaging just over 2 per game, unfortunately they concede just as many at the other end, so the Amber marksmen will be looking to add to their goals totals. The home defence has been tightened up of late & the back line will be keen to ensure they add to their clean sheet tally.
Craig Edwards has a full squad to select from, with Carlo the physio managing only minor niggles at the moment. Only Raul Da Silva misses out, serving the second match of a two match ban for his red card on Boxing Day (ironically he got a 2 match ban because this was his second 2x Yellow in a match Red card, the first having been in the match at Slough Town) Look out for new signings Carlos Lyon & Ibrahim Bakere to possibly make the squad, and Jamie Reynolds coming back from a long term injury.
