It’s Non-League Day this Saturday and The Ambers are at home to Weymouth in the National League South.
With no Premier League football this weekend, why not visit your local non league side for your football fix instead, with admission only £10 for adults and £5 for concs and under 18’s.
The turnstiles will be open at 11am and there will be a walking football match between Cheshunt Walking Football and Weymouth & Bournemouth Walking Football taking place on the main pitch at 11:15am.
There will also be live music in the Fan Zone during the afternoon, face painting for the kids (and grown ups too), hot food from Amber Eats, bar snacks and drinks from The Amber Bar, a sweet stall and a club shop full of new merchandise.
The main event kicks off at 3PM, when the two sides will be desperately looking for 3 points to climb out of the bottom four. With both sides having played midweek, Weymouth losing 3-2 at Chippenham Town and The Ambers drawing 1-1 in our Herts Derby with St Albans City, both sides will be going all out for the win.
When we played the reverse fixture in December, the two sides fought out a 0-0 draw in front of over 700 fans, so hopefully there will be some goals this time around.
There will also be a collection throughout the day for the Broxbourne Foodbank, so if you would like to donate any tinned or dried goods for this worthy cause a collection point will be near the turnstiles.
As it is Non-League Day, the chosen charity nationwide is Prostate Cancer UK and there will be collection buckets for any loose change you might like to donate.
We hope to see as many fans, both old and new, for what should be a great day of football.
COYAMBERS.
