Under the guidance of coaches Mike Warby & Chris Donno the Cheshunt FC Inclusive u16s headed east to Billericay Town to compete in the Billericay Soccability Tournament, held on the main stadium pitch where later this season Cheshunt FC 1st team will meet Billericay Town in the Isthmian Premier League.
The team met up with Inclusive teams from around the South East and played a total of seven matches through the day, winning four, drawing two and only losing one match. The keepers were in fine form with Freddie only conceding one goal, and at the other end Manny had bought his shooting boots with him, and scored six times! The fourteen point total saw the team through to the tournament final where they would meet favourites Billericay Town Soccability FC.
In a tight final, chances were limited and it looked as if honours would be even at 0-0, but Cheshunt summoned all their reserves of energy after a long day, to mount one final attack, they scored in the very last minute of time, giving the hosts no time to find an equaliser. Cue much celebration & singing as the players raised the trophy & collected their medals.
Well Done Everyone ! C’mon You Ambers !
