A bright afternoon at Theobalds Lane saw the mascots from Bonneygrove school lead out the teams, and bring good fortune to the home side as Cheshunt striker Nnamdi Nwachuku claimed a hat trick to earn the Ambers a much needed 3 points.
Slick passing & strong running from midfield saw Cheshunt create the early chances with Isiah Noel Williams prominent breaking up Bognor, then driving the Ambers forward, he was unlucky to find the roof od the net chipping the keeper, but the Ambers didn’t have to wait long. The best move of the match saw short passes through the visitors cover from Anwar Moutawafiq to Zubayr Boadi allowing Nathaniel Orafu drive forward & release Nnamdi Nwachuku who slid the ball past Ryan Hall and into the opposite corner. Nathaniel Orafu & Isiah Noel Williams combined to win the ball in midfield & Zubayr Boadi spotted Nwachuku’s run for the striker to round the keeper & claim his second.

Bognor were not without chances in the first half, Calvin Davis was busy in the middle & Lucas Pattenden was a threat on the right, but finishing was a problem, Joe Rose in the Cheshunt goal well positioned to clean up & set the Ambers moving again regularly.
Cheshunt started the second half as the finished the first, the Orafu, Nwachuku combination opened up the Bognor defence again & the Ambers striker calmly chipped the ball over the keeper to claim his third of the game.  Bognor struck back via a well struck  penalty on seventy minutes to give them hope of another score draw, having already recorded two 3-3s and a 2-2 against Carshalton, Lewes & Enfield Town respectively.

An injury to Isiah Noel Williams saw him forced from the field with another  injury, as he once again put his head in where it hurts.  Cheshunt lost their momentum a little without the energy of the tireless midfielder,  but sub Jamie Reynolds & skipper Taylor MacKenzie marshalled the team well to protect the lead, Bognor came back into the match with fifteen additional minutes added for the six substitutions & injury delays , but their forward line squandered chances as they troubled the car park attendant more than Joe Rose, the Cheshunt keeper, and the home side saw the game out comfortably.
