A disappointing outcome with everyone keen to put the Boxing Day Derby to the back of the mind. The water table is simply too high to allow the pitch to fully drain in time for kick off as rain water from surrounding areas passes down through the stadium area & pitch towards Theobalds Brook.

Both goalmouths, and wide areas at the Theobalds Lane end are retaining water.

With the next game due to be played at The Stadium being an Isthmian Premier match versus Hastings United on January 6th,  Sam & Max have time to work on the pitch & we’ll hope for some dry windy weather to dry everything out.
