Michael Hodge was a tall, kind & gentle man who would always ask ‘How are you?’ and then ‘When is the next match? Are you at home or away this week?’ when he saw you in the street.   Michael’s loss will be felt throughout the local football & wider community.
Michael was a huge football fan and would be at a local football match week in week out whatever the weather, a regular at Broxbourne V&E and Cheshunt FC, he had often volunteered to run the line for Youth & Senior matches, and was always very conscientious in his duties.
Michael was very well known and loved in the Cheshunt community not only at football matches, but  also in the local cafes in and around The Pond, the  Red Cow Pub, and the many clubs he attended.
Michael will surely be remembered for his love of football and also his dancing all night long at parties. His loss will be felt by so many who knew Michael,  whether it was to stop & chat, or just a friendly wave across the street.
Our sincere condolences extend to all of Michael’s friends and family at this sad time.
There is a go fund page to help with both the cost of Michael’s funeral and also to raise funds for the Air Ambulance service,  who did everything possible to care for Michael at the scene of his tragic accident on Christmas Eve. Please consider joining Michael’s friends in both remembering and supporting such a worthwhile cause.
