The Ambers will be looking to put Saturday’s unlucky defeat in Hornchurch behind them as they travel to Sussex to face Whitehawk. The two sides faced each other just over a week ago when Cheshunt came out 2-0 winners.

The Hosts- Whitehawk

Shaun Saunders’ side come into this game in poor form. They have won just one game in their last five in all competitions which came in a penalty shootout win over Kingstonian in the Velocity Cup. Despite defeat at home this weekend, the Hawks put in a decent display against high flying Chatham Town. The Chats currently sit second in the table behind Hornchurch.

The main player to watch for the away side is Pakistan International Imran Kayani. In November, the attacker appeared for Pakistan against Roberto Mancini’s Saudi Arabia side. The attacker has been very important for his team this season scoring five goals including a brace against Margate earlier this month.

The Hawks’ top scorer this season is Charlie Walker, with fifteen goals. Followed by Charlie Lambert with ten. Kayani has netted eight goals in 23 games for the club. Goalkeeper Mitch Walker has also impressed Hawks fans this season, keeping them in many games throughout the season.

The Visitors – Cheshunt

Cheshunt travel to the TerraPura Ground off the back of a narrow defeat to league leaders Hornchurch.  After a great first half, Craig Edwards’ side were dealt a blow just ten minutes into the second half when Femi Akinwande put the Urchins 1-0 up. The Ambers couldn’t find an equaliser, so Daryl McMahon walked away with all three points on his first game in charge.

The win over Whitehawk at Theobalds Grove last month remains Cheshunt’s only win in their last nine fixtures in all competitions. The goal scorers that day were Nnamdi Nwachuku and Isiah Noel-Williams, both players have been in great form recently and they will be hoping to fire their side to another victory on Tuesday night.

Head-to-Head – Cheshunt vs Whitehawk

The Ambers’ 2-0 win over the Hawks last month was the only game between the two sides since records began.

This is yet another huge game for Craig Edwards and the team away from home, we can’t wait to see you down in Whitehawk on Tuesday night. COYA!
