Official player registration with the Isthmian League is still three weeks away and as a club we are playing our cards close to our chest for the time being, a lot can change in those three weeks, and also the following weeks of pre season fixtures, as the pendulum gently swings from being a players’ market, to that of the clubs. Craig and his assistants have been very busy reviewing last season, making some changes to last year’s squad and talking to a number of experienced and exciting new players, looking to add them into the pre season programme in good time for the season start.
Following on from bringing Preston Edwards back to Theobalds Lane as assistant manager & coach, we are very pleased to advise the skilful, attacking midfielder Nathaniel Orafu has signed up to play for the Ambers again in season 2024/25. Signing the Supporters & Players Player of the Year has been a priority for Manager Craig Edwards. With forty three appearances, nine goals and numerous assists from midfield, Nathaniel was a key contributor to last season, his silky skills with the ball at his feet, and trademark strikes on goal were beacons of light and hope in a tough season.
Welcome back Nathaniel, really looking forward to seeing you entertain everyone again this season.
