Manager Mel Gwinnett has been busy over the summer and is now starting to sign up players for the 2025/26 season. There are some familiar faces and some new at the latest technical sessions this week.

22 year old Full back Lordon Akolbire, a fan favourite last season, has signed up for the new season stating his desire to continue developing as a footballer is best served by being at Cheshunt FC as a key factor in his decision.

Joining Lordon in the Ambers line up will be Dequane Wilson Braithwaite, his tall assured presence at the heart of defence or holding midfield is appreciated by fellow players & supporters in equal measure,
We saw plenty of left sided Full back Bradley Roberts last year before Hemel recalled him as cover for their National League South run-in. This year we get to enjoy his performances patrolling the left from the start as he signs a deal for 25/26 with options for 26/27 and beyond.

Joining Lordon, Dequane & Bradley on Tuesday night was Jesse Effa, a wide attacking player with an eye for goal. Jesse played last season at Hadley FC scoring 6 league goals from 22 matches (6 starts & 16 as sub) . Jesse likes the opportunity to attack defences with his pace & skill to generate goalscoring opportunities for team mates. Welcome to Cheshunt Jesse !

Club Secretary Nigel Griffiths was kept busy on Tuesday night as local man Sam Granville called in to check his contract for the coming season, with all in order he too put pen to paper to commit himself to the Ambers. The midfielder will resume working with manager Mel Gwinnett, who first coached him when they were at Barnet together.

You can sponsor any of the signed players, and have your name or business printed next to the player in the programme and on the web site, by completing the forms available here
Look out for more signings in the coming days.
