We will update everyone on the social distancing guidelines at each stage, our Covid Risk Analysis & Actions are currently under review, and we would ask everyone to remain patient, continue to follow the social distancing & cleanliness guidelines to make sure we have a trouble free path back to normality.
The various leagues that Cheshunt teams are registered with are working with clubs to create a ‘season end’ with the Mid Herts Minors League organising friendly matches, the Eastern Junior Alliance cancelling cup matches to free time for ending the league fixtures, The Brentwood Community Football Alliance have fixtures planned through to June for the girls teams, and the Bedford & Herts Women’s League organising a series of round robin fixtures booked.
The Cheshunt Youth team managers and coaches are busy scheduling training sessions & a summer tournament planned for July 3rd & 4th.
1st team manager Craig Edwards has been as busy as ever keeping tabs on matches played in the National Leagues, maintaining contact with the current 1st team squad, and has been on site in his office planning training sessions, friendly matches & a pre season schedule where he is looking for the squad to replicate their fine start to the 20/21 season in August. Matches planned currently will remain ‘Behind Closed Doors’ under current guidelines, and we will ensure we keep you all updated as to when we can all enjoy a match at the stadium together.
Both the 3G and the grass pitches look in terrific shape, Darren and the grounds team have worked throughout to further improve the playing surfaces, we will have an interview & update from Darren in the coming weeks.
Get your boots cleaned, the kit bags emptied and re organised, find the missing sock, and order up the latest Harry Saka Haaland shin pads. Coach, have you found the adaptor to pump the balls up?
Check the weather forecasts for April & May, we go again very soon!
C’mon You Ambers!
