A pitch inspection at 14-00 found surface water puddling in key areas, forking the pitch reveals water sitting just under the surface in most areas of the Theobalds Lane End.

It was not playable at the time of the inspection, and is not draining, any further rain would be likely to compound the situation.

It’s disappointing but an early decision helps everyone adjust their plans accordingly & avoids wasted time, expense and further disappointment.  The two match secretaries will agree a rescheduled date as soon as is practical.
