The League table is not great reading for the Ambers at the moment, but the form table suggests improvement. There have been some decent performances starting to produce promising results, and where they haven’t , then the team have been competitive. This despite one of the worst injury lists in recent times.  We travel to Hampton & Richmond Borough FC on Saturday, the team we started this season playing, coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.  Our opponents have not enjoyed the best of form recently, sitting below Cheshunt in the ‘ Last 6 games form table’

Much as the Ambers have made some major changes to the match day squads since that opening game, so have Hampton & Richmond Borough,  with only four players starting last week who started in August & the two goal scorers that day currently on the bench.

The above shows the recent decline in form from Hampton & Richmond Borough, so in front of their own fans they will want to arrest the slide, however having only won two out of ten of their home games, will this be an opportunity the Ambers can exploit?

Cheshunt have bolstered the squad recently signing Tom Dickens from Welling United, Isaac Pitblado on loan from QPR and hope to have another loan signing over the line before match day.  Strikers Rowan Liburd , Alfie Cue & Chris Harris are returning from injury, as is Josh Shonibare, giving Manager Craig Edwards plenty of firepower to add to the in form Newton & Beckles Richards.  The defence marshalled by Adam Desbois have two successive clean sheets behind them and will be looking forward to providing the platform for Cheshunt to claim another three points.

With both teams needing a win, it should be as entertaining a match as the first encounter in August. Who is travelling to cheer the Ambers on, then making the dash back for England v France at the Amber Sports Bar?
