Cheshunt opened the match on the front foot & caused plenty of confusion in the Hashtag defence with a succession of corners & long throws but failed to capitalise. On their occasional excursions into the Cheshunt half it was Hashtag’s Misha Djemaili who generated the dangers with two shots across the keeper going wide. The Ambers opened the scoring with Tommy Wood laying the ball back for Jeremy Bisau to score with a low drive from twelve yards.
Hashtag equalised when a spinning ball from a fifty fifty tackle fell kindly to Misha Djemaili to drive into the far corner for the equaliser.
The second half opened with both sides matching each other in midfield until the home team defence switched off & stayed switched off, Misha Djemaili claimed his second from close range at the near post, and then benefitted with a tap in from a ‘play on’ decision when substitute Sam Higgins cleaned out the Ambers full back and left the defence scrambling.  Concentration dropped & Max Cornhill took advantage with a firm header from a left wing cross to put Hashtag in control.  Cheshunt to their credit fought back, a flick on from a long throw found Vas Vasiliou in the six yard box to steer home, and minutes later Khris Oti claimed a third with a close range header from a right wing cross. Cheshunt pressed for the equaliser with vigour but the visitors managed to see time out with the usual tactics seen in time added on.
Manager Craig Edwards was none too pleased with the result, and considered his team switched off for a twenty minute period where Hashtag took full advantage, and was not impressed with the inconsistency of the officiating either, you can catch up with his post match views here
