Craig’s decision to move on comes after more than seven remarkable years of service to the club. Throughout his tenure, Craig made over 300 appearances on the touchline, leading Cheshunt FC through an incredible journey, including successive promotions and guiding us to our highest-ever level in the National League South.

Craig’s achievements speak for themselves. Under his leadership, we won the Herts County Cup for the first time in our club’s history and reached the fifth round of the FA Trophy, a historic milestone for Cheshunt FC. His commitment, passion, and unwavering dedication to the club have left an indelible mark on us all. His influence has extended beyond the pitch, inspiring both players and fans, and helping to strengthen our club’s connection to the community.

Amber’s Chairman, Dean Williamson, said: “This announcement is made with a heavy heart. After the game, Craig and I had an emotional conversation. He shared that he believed he had assembled a squad more than capable of achieving promotion this season. However, he felt that the time had come for a fresh face to bring new ideas and energy to help Cheshunt FC progress in the right direction.”

“On behalf of the entire club, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Craig for his tremendous contribution and service over the years. In the fullness of time, Craig will be remembered for his unprecedented success, and his tenure as one of the greatest eras for Cheshunt FC. We created magical moments that will live long in the memory and helped grow our fan base. Craig deserves a fitting send-off, and I hope that, in time, the club and our real fans get the opportunity to say a true thank you and goodbye for his hard work, honesty, friendship, and care. His legacy will not be forgotten, and he will always be a part of the Cheshunt family.”

As one chapter closes, so another begins. We will start the search for a new manager immediately, and we are confident that the right person will build on the foundation Craig has laid and lead us forward.
