Over the past few seasons Football Supporters at Cheshunt FC have donated thousands of pounds worth of food and supplies to support local families.
Whilst the Fans Supporting Foodbanks campaign is most associated with professional clubs like Liverpool, Celtic, and Ipswich Town, when we all come together, The fans at Cheshunt FC have made a massive difference. I never cease to be amazed at the generosity and sense of community among Cheshunt supporters and the generosity of visitors supporting our opponents too, and I know this year’s collection will be no different.
Broxbourne Foodbank currently has plenty of pasta, cereal and baked beans but need our backing ahead of the busy Christmas period.
Here are some suggestions of what you might consider donating if you can afford too:
- Tins of Custard or Fruit
- Tins of Meat or Fish
- Tins or Cartons of Soup
- Cordials, Juices or UHT Milk
- Washing Up Liquid
You may even wish to include something festive, some mince pies or Christmas biscuits perhaps? We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
Win, lose or draw on 30th November lets leave Cheshunt Stadium knowing we’ve not only backed our team , but supported our community as well.
With Many Thanks for Your Support, Sean,
Up The Ambers!
