Having recently graduated from the University of Bournemouth, Tommy brings with him a wealth of knowledge & experience in both the Female and Male game having worked at both the Norwich City Academy and Women’s 1st team in various coaching capacities.

In addition, Tommy has worked with the Female Goalkeepers at Leyton Orient & Poole Town as well as coaching in the USA.

Tommy will be a great addition to the coaching team at Cheshunt FC Women & Girls bringing a modern and fresh perspective to the art of goalkeeping.

Grant Palmer – Head of Women & Girls Football said:

Having worked with Tommy at both Norwich City & Leyton Orient, I knew he would be a great asset to Cheshunt, his ability to look at the wider role of goalkeepers in today’s modern game is essential in developing them the right way, He is also a student of the game always looking to improve his knowledge to help keep at the forefront of goalkeeper coaching.

The coaching team is really starting to take shape now with the addition of Tommy and I know all our players will really see the benefit of this awesome group.

Tommy Myers said:

I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work with such a forward-thinking club within the woman’s game. To join a club, such has Cheshunt who have committed to developing the female pathway as a whole, is a very exciting prospect to be part of as a young coach.

I am very excited to be working with Cheshunt’s Goalkeepers and look forward to developing modern goalkeepers who can be a vital part of a team’s game model, in and out of possession, and of course, pulling of world-class saves.
