All square at The Lane in the FA Cup.

A keenly contested cup tie saw Cheshunt dominate their premier division visitors through the first half. When Leiston did have a shot on target, keeper Harry Girling was equal to it. If Leiston appeared to have a weak link it was corners, the Ambers opener came from captain Mark Hughes forcing himself to the front of the near post queue to ram the ball into the roof off the net.
Cheshunt went to the break one up and should have had more, Marcus Garnham called into action to turn shots over the bar & round the post late in the half. Al Hafeez Sanusi doubled the lead immediately after the break running into the inside left channel and unleashing an unstoppable shot past Marcus Garnham.
The second goal stung Leiston into action and they started to push Cheshunt back on the hour mark. The Cheshunt press started to fade allowing more time to pick passes in the midfield & Christy Finch found the bottom corner passing the ball into the corner beyond Girling. Substitute Dominic Docherty equalised with his first touch, heading a right wing cross home.
Both sides had opportunities to win the tie late on, but will replay Tuesday night.
