A superb start for Cheshunt when in the fourth minute Taylor Miles finished off a sharp move involving Joe Re and Reece Beckles-Richards by calmly curling a placed shot beyond the Kingstonian keeper into the right corner.
In the 10th minute Nana Adarkwa’s quick feet saw him upended in the area and the referee pointed to the spot. Kenny Beaney was booked for contesting the referees decision. Reece Beckles-Richards calmly beat the keeper to put Cheshunt 2-0 up.
The scoring spree wasn’t finished as Elliott Buchanan pulled one back for Kingstonian on 15 minutes in a goalmouth scramble.
It was really stirring match with both sides intent on attacking, and on 19 minutes Kingstonian were awarded a penalty which was calmly dispatched and the game then continued at breakneck pace.
After their shaky start Kingstonian really started to impress and were starting to control the game as half time approached and they could have gone in front when Buchanan was through but couldn’t beat Beeney in goal for Cheshunt.
On 57 minutes Saraiva was shown a straight red card after a poorly timed rash & uncontrolled tackle on Anderson Pinto.
Beckles-Richards could have done better when in the 72nd minute he shot straight at the Kingstonian keeper.
With 12 minutes to go sub Anderson Pinto fired Cheshunt into a lead with a low shot from a tight angle on the left, for what proved to be the winner, but then two minutes later saw red for a second yellow.
In the end Cheshunt saw out this pulsating game for the win.
