OUR YOUNG GUNS BLAST THEIR WAY INTO THE COUNTY CUP FINAL.
In a match that starred all four seasons, the two sides played out an excellent Herts County cup semi-final at The Stadium, Theobalds Lane.
The Ambers got off to a flying start when Jimmy Beaney scored within the first minute of the match to stun the visitors. The match soon settled down after that with both sides having chances to score.
However it was Cheshunt who scored next when Reuben Kingley scored a cracker to make it 2-0 to the hosts, and it stayed that way till the half time whistle.
The second half saw both sides making inroads into their opponents half and with both sides trying to break the second half deadlock it was Cheshunt, who again proved to be able to convert their chances, and Jimmy Beaney getting his second of the match to make it 3-0 to the Ambers.
After a short break which was enforced by some torrential hailstones, the Ambers put the tie out of reach for the battling Tornadoes, when Dan Harris scored Cheshunt’s fourth and fifth goals of the match in quick succession near the end of the second half.
An excellent match for all supporters to watch and The Ambers await to see the result of the Maccabi London Lions vs Oaklands Wolves FC match in the other semi-final.
