2ND V 3RD.
It’s second versus third in a big game at the top of the Bostik League South Central Division, as Cheshunt make the trip to Bracknell Town.
When the sides met at Theobalds Lane earlier this season, it was the Ambers who took all three points with a 2-0 victory.
Cheshunt head into this game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run, which is tied for their longest unbeaten run so far this season. That run has seen wins over Uxbridge (2-0), Ware (1-0), Northwood (2-1) and Ashford Town (1-0), whilst they have drawn against Hadley (2-2), Bedfont Sports (2-2) and Hertford Town (2-2).
Bobby Mason, Kyle Roberts, Henry Musaj, Asher Silverman, Jack Lampe, David Ompreon and Al-Hafeez Sanusi are all ruled out through injury, whilst Mark Hughes serves the final game of his suspension. David Kendall and Jason Hallett are both available, whilst Nicky Symons and Emiel Aiken are 50/50. New signing Connor Hogan, from AFC Hornchurch, will also go straight into the squad.
Ahead of the game, Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards commented: “Bracknell won in the 90th minute last week, and they’re right up there in the league.
“It should be a cracking game, these are games you want to be involved in. We played ever so well when we beat them last time, but they were a good side as well.”
Second place Bracknell Town have won their last five games, and have lost just one of their last eight league games since their defeat at Theobalds Lane. Those five wins have been over FC Romania (6-1), Westfield (3-1), Chipstead (3-0), South Park (4-3) and Folkestone Invicta (4-1).
The Robins are also unbeaten at home in league action this season, winning seven and drawing four games.
They have no apparent injury concerns.
Saturday’s game takes place at Larges Lane, postcode RG12 9AN. Kick-off is 3pm and admission prices are just £5 adults and £3 concessions. Come on you Ambers!
