AN AWAY DAY TRIP TO MILL MEADOW.
Cheshunt FC will be looking to continue their playoff push as they make the trip to Chalfont St Peter.
When the sides met at Theobalds Lane in November, the Ambers were unable to take advantage of an extra man as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Cheshunt will have the opportunity to make it three consecutive wins with a victory over Chalfont St Peter, following back-to-back victories over Stevenage (2-1) and Waltham Abbey (2-1).
On the injury front, Jason Hallett, Ibrahim Conte, Bobby Mason, David Ompreon, Henry Musaj and Asher Silverman all remain sidelined, whilst Taylor McKenzie and Jonathan Munday are both suspended.
In more positive news, Emile Aiken returns to the squad, whilst new signings Chico Ramos (goalkeeper), Anthony Furlonge (right-back) and Ashley Nzala (forward) will be available for selection.
Ahead of the game, Cheshunt skipper Mark Hughes said: “I think it’s going to be a very, very hard game, a tricky game. We drew earlier in the season and they were well worth that draw, but we were poor.
“It’s exciting, I love going into games when you’re fighting with a chance to go second, what more would you want?”
Chalfont St Peter have endured a difficult season so far, sitting in 15th with just 29 points from 26 games.
The Saints are winless in their last seven games, a run that has seen Danny Edwards’ side lose to Hayes & Yeading United twice (4-0 & 5-1), South Park (2-1), and Chipstead (3-2), whilst drawing against Egham Town (1-1), Westfield (2-2) and Hertford Town (1-1).
Chalfont have no apparent injury concerns.
Saturday’s game takes place at Mille Meadow, postcode SL9 9QX. Kick off is 3pm, and admission prices are unknown. Come on you Ambers!Back +
