MATCH PREVIEW: CHESHUNT FC v BEDFONT SPORTS FC

07 Dec 2018

THE ROBINS FLY IN ON SATURDAY.

Cheshunt FC welcome Bedfont Sports to Theobalds Lane on Saturday as they look to return to winning ways.

Cheshunt have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions, however remain in the top four with 26 points from their 15 games.

That win came over Bracknell Town (2-0), whilst defeats have come to Hanwell Town (3-1), Whitstable Town (4-3) and Egham Town (2-1). In that run the Ambers have drawn with Chalfont St Peter (1-1), Chipstead (3-3), and most recently Hadley (2-2), who they did defeat on penalties in the Hertfordshire Senior Challenge Cup.

On the injury front, Emile Aiken, Samuel Kifwasima, Jack Lampe, Kyle Roberts and David Ompreon all remain sidelined, and are joined by Henry Musaj who is set to miss three weeks. On a more positive note, Jason Hallett is set to return, whilst new signings Christian Owusu (Walthamstow) and Jordan Westcott (Bishops Stortford) could be line for debuts.

After a slow start to the season, Bedfont Sports hit their stride in November as they won all four of their games, with Sports’ Manager Paul Johnson winning the South Central Manager of the Month award.

Those wins came over Uxbridge (3-2), South Park (1-0), Waltham Abbey (4-1) and Northwood (3-0), seeing the Eagles rise up to 13th with 20 points from their 14 games.

They have no apparent injury concerns.

Saturday’s game takes place at Theobalds Lane, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick-off is 3pm and admission prices are just £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
