THE ROBINS TO MAKE A FLYING VISIT TO 'THE LANE'
Cheshunt FC welcome high-flying Bracknell Town to Theobalds Lane on Tuesday evening as they look to get back to winning ways in a top five battle.
Cheshunt are now four games without victory, sitting fifth in the Bostik League South Central Division.
The Ambers lost to Hanwell Town (3-1), and Whitstable Town (4-3), whilst draws have come against Chalfont St Peter (1-1) and Chipstead (3-3). Despite a tricky spell, Cheshunt have lost just one league game since the 18th August, and are unbeaten in the league at home.
On the injury front Samuel Kifwasima, Yvan Jourdan, Jason Hallett, Jack Lampe, David Ompreon, Emiel Aiken and Kyle Roberts are all unlikely to take part, however Taylor McKenzie is set to return to the fold following his suspension.
Ahead of the game Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards commented, “Bracknell will be another difficult game, and I’d like to see similar performances from the likes of Olu (Akinsanya) again. There were plusses to take away from Saturday’s draw, but also some minuses that we need to correct.”
Bracknell Town head into this game unbeaten in their last seven games (in 90 minutes), a run that has taken them to within a point of league leaders Marlow.
That run has seen the Robins defeat Egham Town (7-1), Hertford Town (2-0) and Egham Town again (1-0), whilst they have drawn twice against Bognor Regis (2-2), and also Chalfont St Peter (2-2) and Hanwell Town (2-2).
Bracknell have lost just one league game all season, a 3-2 defeat to Uxbridge, and are also the second highest scorers in the league with 35 goals in their 12 games.
They have no apparent injury concerns.
Tuesday’s game takes place at The Cheshunt Stadium, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick-off is 7.45pm, and admission prices are £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!Back +
