MATCH PREVIEW: CHESHUNT FC V CHALFONT ST PETER AFC

02 Nov 2018

THE SAINTS VISIT THE LANE

Cheshunt FC will be looking to make it seven games without defeat on Saturday as they host Chalfont St Peter at Theobolds Lane.

Cheshunt head into this game unbeaten at home in the league this season, and unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions. That run has seen the Ambers defeat Molesey (1-0), Aveley (4-0), Tooting & Mitcham United (3-0), Kings Langley (2-1) and Brentwood Town (2-1), whilst they drew with Marlow (0-0). Manager Craig Edwards still has a lengthy injury list to deal with, as Bobby Mason, Henry Musaj, Kyle Roberts, Emile Aiken, David Ompreon, Jack Lampe, John Silva, and Olu Akinsanya are all sidelined. However, Jason Hallett and Ali Cheranti are expected to return to contention.

Chalfont St Peter are also in good form, with just one defeat in their last six matches, a 2-0 loss to Maldon & Tiptree in the FA Trophy. However, victories have come over Bedfont Sports (3-2), South Park (5-0), FC Romania (1-0), whilst the Saints have drawn with Westfield (2-2) and Hanwell Town (2-2). As a result, Chalfont sit eighth in the division, six points behind Cheshunt with one game in hand. They have no apparent injury concerns.

Saturday’s game takes place at the Cheshunt Stadium, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick-off is at 3pm and admission prices are £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
