MATCH PREVIEW: CHESHUNT FC v CHIPSTEAD FC

16 Nov 2018

FOOTBALL ON A PITCH BETTER THAN WEMBLEY.

Cheshunt FC will look to return to winning ways tomorrow as they welcome Chipstead FC to Theobolds Lane.

Cheshunt FC will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing week saw them lose two games, and the Ambers are now three games without a win. After a draw with Chalfont St Peter (1-1), Cheshunt lost to Hanwell Town (3-1), before crashing out of the Velocity Trophy in midweek to Whitstable Town (4-3).

However, Cheshunt have lost just one of their last 10 Bostik League South Central matches, a run dating back to the 18th August, leaving the Ambers fifth in the division.

Craig Edwards continues to deal with a mounting injury crisis, as Samuel KIfwasima and Yvan Jourdan join Jason Hallett, Jack Lampe, David Ompreon, Emiel Aiken, and Kyle Roberts on the treatment table. Taylor McKenzie is suspended after picking up his fifth caution against Hanwell, whilst Bradley Woods-Garness has been released.

On a more positive front, Bobby Mason will have a fitness test and is close to a return, whilst Junior Appiah could head straight into the squad after signing from Haringey Borough.

Chipstead have also had a tricky patch of late, and are without a win in their last four games. That run has seen them draw with Corinthian Casuals (0-0), and Bedford Town (2-2), with losses coming to Marlow (4-0), and Bedford Town (2-0) in their FA Trophy replay.

Chipstead currently lie 11th in the division with 16 points from their 11 games, six points behind Cheshunt with a game in hand.

They have no apparent injury concerns.

Saturday’s game takes place at the Cheshunt Stadium, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick off is 3pm and admission prices are just £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
