Off for our Chips!
Cheshunt FC will be looking to strengthen their playoff push as they make the trip south to Chipstead FC.
Both sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in the fixture at Theobalds Lane in November, as The Ambers twice fought back from a goal down to lead 3-2, before Daniel Moody earned Chipstead a point.
Cheshunt have lost just one of their last five games in all competitions, a run that sees them sit fourth in the Bostik League South Central Division.
The Ambers’ sole defeat in their last five games came at the hands of Marlow (4-0), whilst victories have come over Stevenage (2-1), Waltham Abbey (2-1), Chalfont St Peter (2-0), and Hanwell Town (4-2).
Anthony Sinclair-Furlonge joins Ibrahim Conte, Bobby Mason, David Ompreon, Henry Musaj and Asher Silverman on the Cheshunt injury list. Al-Hafeez Sanusi begins a six-game suspension, whilst Jonathan Munday returns from his.
Midfielder Lewis Hobbs could also be in contention for his debut after signing from Potters Bar Town, for whom he made seven appearances this season.
Ahead of the game, Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards said: “Chipstead are having a great run, as all teams are when we play them!
“I’m expecting a tight game, we’ll be really up for it and looking forward to it. It’s been a good hunting ground for me over the years, and I hope that can continue.”
Chipstead FC head into this game in fine form, and they are without defeat in their last four games.
Wins over Chalfont St Peter (3-2), Marlow (1-0) and Uxbridge (2-1), and a draw with Ashford Town (0-0), has seen Chipstead move up to 11th, and onto 40 points from their 29 games.
The Chips have actually been better away from home this season, picking up 22 of their 40 points on the road.
They have no apparent injury concerns.
Saturday’s game takes place at the NRT Stadium, postcode CR5 3SF. Kick-off is 3pm, and admission prices are £10 adults, £7 concessions and £3 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
