When two home teams meet.
It’s a battle between the landlords and tenants at Theobalds Lane on Tuesday evening as Cheshunt FC play FC Romania.
When the sides met earlier in the season it was the Ambers who ran out 2-0 winners, with Taylor McKenzie and Ricky Sappleton on the scoresheet.
Cheshunt will have momentum on their side as they will be looking to make it 10 games without defeat should they get a result against the Wolves.
During their nine-game unbeaten run the Ambers have beaten Uxbridge (2-0), Ware (1-0), Northwood (2-1), Ashford Town (1-0) and Molesey (2-0), whilst drawing with Hadley (2-2), Bedfont Sports (2-2), Hertford Town (2-2) and Bracknell Town (1-1).
Cheshunt continue to have a lengthy injury list as Jason Hallett and Ibrahim Conte join Bobby Mason, David Ompreon, Henry Musaj and Asher Silverman on the side-line. Patrick Adamson is recovering from a bout of flu, whilst Kyle Roberts and Emiel Aiken could return to the matchday squad.
FC Romania are still searching for their first win of 2019 heading into February, and they are winless in their last four games.
In that run Ion Vintila’s side have lost to Hanwell Town (6-2), Ashford Town (2-0) and Chipstead (2-1), whilst drawing with Uxbridge (2-2).
Like the Ambers, FC Romania saw their game postponed last weekend, and they sit 17th in the league heading into this fixture.
The Wolves will be without the services of Dragos Voicu who begins a three-match suspension, however they have no apparent injury concerns.
Tuesday’s game takes place at Theobalds Lane, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick-off is 7.45pm and admission prices are just £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
