Cheshunt head back on the road on Tuesday evening, making the long trip to the league leaders Folkestone Invicta.

The Ambers will be looking to return to winning ways having now won just one of their last five games in all competitions, and head into this game following back-to-back league defeats, losing to Leatherhead (3-0) and Worthing (2-1).

That run has left Cheshunt 17th in the division having picked up 10 points from 11 games, however a victory over Folkestone could see Craig Edwards’ side move up to 11th in the league.

Sean Cronin is set to return to the squad having missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Worthing, however Fabion Simms, Shane Cojocarel, Ashley Nzala and Toyosi Olusanya all remain sidelined.

Ahead of the game, Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards said: “It’s a nice short trip, a nice easy game, they’re top!

“We’ll have to go and do a giant killing down there, they’ve got a good side, good forwards; they’re a big threat going forward, so it’s going to be a tough, tough task for us, but we’ll go there with no real pressure on us and look to get a result.”

Folkestone Invicta have made an excellent start to the season and after 11 games sit top of the Isthmian Premier Division, having picked up 26 points.

After a run of three games without a win, Invicta have returned to winning ways with back-to-back victories against Brightlingsea Regent (3-2) and Corinthian Casuals (1-0), and they are yet to lose at home so far this season.

Folkestone will be without the services of Sam Hasler who is unlikely to be fit in time for Tuesday evening’s game, whilst new signing Stephen Smith made his debut off the bench during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Corinthian Casuals.

Tuesday evening’s game takes place at the BuildKent Stadium, CT19 5JU. Kick-off is 7.45pm, and admission prices are £11 adults, £8 concessions, £3 5-18 years, and free for U5s. Come on you Ambers.
