SATURDAY ACTION AT THE LANE AS THE AMBERS WELCOME THE TANNERS.
Cheshunt will be looking to get back on track this weekend as Leatherhead make the trip up to Theobalds Lane.
When the two sides met back in October at Fetcham Grove it was a disappointing outing for the Ambers, as Leatherhead ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
After a run of three consecutive wins to kick-off 2020, it is now three league games without a victory for Craig Edwards’ side following defeats to Enfield Town (3-2) and Worthing (2-0), and a draw with Bowers & Pitsea (1-1).
The Ambers remain 18th in the division, now just two points clear of the relegation zone albeit with two games in hand on 20th place Merstham.
Fabion Simms and Ashley Nzala continue their rehabilitation from long-term lay-offs after returning to training earlier this month, whilst Shane Cojocarel remains sidelined through injury. Mark Hughes and Taylor Miles are both suspended, however on a positive note Amadou Kassarate returned to the squad on Tuesday.
Tomorrow’s opponents Leatherhead have won just one of their last five games in all competitions, which was a 3-0 victory over Sutton United on Tuesday in the Surrey Senior Cup.
The Tanners sit 10th in the Isthmian Premier Division, and like the Ambers will be looking to end a run of three straight league games without success.
On the injury front, Callum Driver, Jake Embery and Zach Robinson have all been missing for the Tanners and are doubtful for Saturday’s clash.
Saturday’s game takes place at the Stadium, Theobalds Lane, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick-off is 3pm, and admission prices are just £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. COYAMBERS.
