IT'S TIGHT UP THE TOP.
Two promotion chasing sides will go head-to-head on Tuesday as Cheshunt make the trip to Marlow.
The sides met at Theobalds Lane back in October, and were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in a 0-0 stalemate.
Cheshunt will have the chance to make it four consecutive wins with a victory over Marlow, following wins against Stevenage (2-1), Waltham Abbey (2-1), and Chalfont St Peter (2-0).
That run has seen the Ambers move up to third in the division, and they sit one point ahead of Marlow albeit having played one game more.
Jason Hallett, Ibrahim Conte, Bobby Mason, David Ompreon, Henry Musaj and Asher Silverman will be joined on the sidelines by Anthony Sinclair-Furlonge, whilst Jonathan Munday serves the second game of his three-match suspension.
On a positive note, Taylor McKenzie has completed his suspension and will return to the squad.
Ahead of the game, Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards said: “We’ve got 11 games left in the league and the semi-final of the Herts Cup, and every game now is a big game because we’ve put ourselves in that position.
“That’s what I’m trying to get through to the boys, they’ve done really well and they’ve got to embrace the last 12 games because they are big, and that’s why you want to be in football.”
Fifth-place Marlow will be looking for a return to winning ways, after going two games without victory.
Their last two games have seen the Blues draw with Tooting & Mitcham United (1-1), before on Saturday they lost to Chipstead (1-0).
Marlow have no apparent injury concerns.
Tuesday’s game takes place at the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground, postcode SL7 3ED. Kick-off is 7.45pm and admission prices are £8 adults and £4 concessions.
Remember, the Ambers are back in action at Theobalds Lane on Saturday as Hanwell Town are the visitors. Come on you Ambers!
