Cheshunt will make the short trip to Potters Bar Town on Tuesday evening in the quarter-finals of the Hertfordshire FA Charity Cup.

The two sides have already met this season in league action, with the Ambers running out 2-0 winners back in August.

Craig Edwards’ side will be hoping the cup poses a welcome distraction from the league in which Cheshunt sit 18th, having lost six consecutive games in all competitions, five of which were in the league.

Fabion Simms, Ash Nzala, Shane Cojocarel, Toyosi Olusanya, Ibrahim Diallo, Ambrose Gnahore and Sammy Collins are all expected to miss out through injury, however new signings Serge Erkarslan, Reniq Senior and Darius Ghinea could all make their debuts.

Bengt Anders Eriksson and Amadou Kassarate are both waiting for international clearance to make their debuts.

Ahead of the game, Cheshunt Manager Craig Edwards said: “It would have been (A welcome distraction), because we have signed a lot of players and I’ve got decisions to make.

“We’ve got a few players that we couldn’t get in for today (Saturday’s defeat to Lewes) that are very good players that can play Tuesday, along with the five boys on the bench and a couple that are coming back, so it would have been ideal.

“(However)It’s unlikely to be on, it’s going to bucket down for the next two days they reckon!”

Potters Bar Town head into this match also looking for a return to form having picked up just one win in five matches, including a 3-1 defeat to Hornchurch on Saturday, leaving them 13th in the Isthmian Premier Division after collecting 17 points from 12 matches.

Potters Bar have no apparent injury concerns.

Tuesday’s game takes place at the Pakex Stadium, postcode EN6 1QB. Kick-off is 7.45pm, and admission prices are £8 adults, £5 concessions and £1 children. COYAMBERS
