LEAGUE TWO SIDE TO VISIT THE LANE.
Cheshunt FC will be looking to return to winning ways as they welcome Stevenage FC to Theobalds Lane in the Hertfordshire Senior Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
The Ambers head into this game on the back of consecutive defeats, which followed a nine-game unbeaten run.
Those two defeats came to FC Romania (3-2), Cheshunt’s first home league defeat of the season, and league leaders Hayes & Yeading United (1-0).
Cheshunt reached the quarter-final stage of the Senior Challenge Cup with victories over Kings Langley (2-1), and Hadley (2-2) on penalties.
On the injury front, Jason Hallett, Ibrahim Conte, Bobby Mason, David Ompreon, Henry Musaj and Asher Silverman all remain sidelined.
However, Craig Edwards will welcome new signing Joe Linley into the squad. Right back Linley, 21, has spent time at West Ham United and Aston Villa, and joins the Ambers from Heybridge Swifts.
Stevenage have been inconsistent of late with three wins and two defeats in their last five games, and the Boro currently sit ninth in League Two.
Those victories came against Crawley Town (2-1), Morecambe (2-1), and Yeovil Town (1-0), whilst Dino Maamria’s side have lost to Forest Green Rovers (2-0) and, in their last game, Tranmere Rovers (2-0).
To reach the quarter-finals, Stevenage have seen off Sawbridgeworth Town (7-0) and Berkhamsted FC (2-0).
The League Two side are expected to play a mixture of First Team and Academy players.
Tuesday’s game takes place at Theobalds Lane, postcode EN8 8RU. Kick off is 7.45pm and admission prices are £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 U16s. Come on you Ambers!
