240 MILES, 6 HOURS AND THREE POINTS.
A midweek journey to the south coast in our re-arranged fixture, finished with the Ambers securing all three points in a very competitive Isthmian League Premier Division match.
Both sides started well and there were chances at both ends before Shane Cojocarel was taken down by a Rocks defender and had to be substituted by Joe Re.
A brace from Dipo Akinyemi, taking his goal tally to three goals in two matches, the first one after 33 minutes to take The Ambers in at half time 0-1 up.
In the second half, Dipo got his second on 51 minutes and it looked as if The Ambers would be taking home all three point comfortably, but The Rocks stepped up a gear and on 61 minutes, Tommy Leigh scored and set up for a tense end.
There was another substitution on 83 minutes when Dipo was fouled and was our second striker to leave the field.
Next up FA Cup 2nd QR away to Maidstone United.
