MATCH REPORT: CHESHUNT FC 1-1 UXBRIDGE FC

06 Apr 2019

ALL SQUARE AT THE LANE.

After a rocky start from the away keeper dropping the first two crosses Uxbridge keeper Paul McCarthy proved his worth on the deck keeping Cheshunt at bay with two double saves just before the close of the first half to prevent the play off position side going to the break three to the good? Cheshunt had dominated the first half with only a Shane Cojacarel stab home after confusion in the away defence to show for their superiority.

Uxbridge mixed experience and youth up top in a double substitution and eventually the change paid off creating enough space for Charlie Malin to place a shot after the Cheshunt defence could have been stronger in the tackle.
Both sides had chances to steal all three points ,but the match rather fizzled out as quality players rushed their decisions, and loose passes picked off were a regular occurrence.
