Carshalton Athletic Football Club known as ‘The Robins’  is in the London Borough of Sutton. Their home  ground is the War Memorial Sports Ground. Their first team have been consistent performers in the Isthmian Premier League and have tasted football at step 2 in recent times. The club also field a women’s team playing in the London and South East Regional Women’s Premier Division and they have one of the biggest community clubs in England with over 40 junior teams.

The league table sees Cheshunt at 10th above Carshalton Athletic 11th on goal difference. Both clubs have won two, drawn two & lost two league games to date. Whereas Cheshunt progressed to the FA Cup 3rd Q round last weekend, Carshalton Athletic bowed out going down to step 2 team Ebbsfleet Utd.

Recent form over the last three matches has Cheshunt winning three and scoring three times in each match, Carshalton have scored just once drawing one nil-nil and losing two.  Former Tooting & Mitcham striker Danny Bassett is top scorer with two for the season, Cheshunt’s Ken Charles & Zak Newton have five apiece & Reece Beckles Richards has four.

Whilst the Ambers appear to have more firepower at the moment Craig Edwards side will not be complacent, this fixture didn’t take place last year home or away, but the season before Carshalton took all six points winning at Theobalds Lane 1-0 and at The War Memorial Ground 2-0.

The pitch is in good shape & the weather set fair, this weekend’s match should be a good contest.  Order tickets on line here to benefit from a discount
